Our Story
Melissa & Paul have weathered the ups and downs of life and now feel called to do something meaningful with the gifts God has blessed them with. They met in high school art class in 1988 and fell in love. Eventually, they married and stepped into the busy rhythm of careers and raising a family.
Over the next several decades, things began to unravel. Paul struggled with addictions. Life was hard - even amid professional success and educational milestones. They drifted apart in a storm of self-made stress and quiet unhappiness.
By God’s grace, they came to see how far they had strayed - from Him, from each other, and from themselves. They began to change. Healing wasn’t easy. Then came a diagnosis: stage four cancer. It nearly took Paul’s life.
But again, by God’s mercy - and through the miracle of modern medicine - they were given a second chance. A chance to live differently. They left behind high-stress jobs working for others. After deep soul-searching, they found themselves drawn back to creativity - the same spark that first brought them together. Rediscovering the roots of who they truly are.
Sanctuary Arts LLC was born from that rediscovery. “It’s our way of sharing the gifts God gave us — and using those blessings to help others in need.”

We believe that beauty and generosity belong together.
Our mission is to recognize where we’ve been blessed—and respond by giving to those in need of sanctuary.
We donate 15% of our profits to organizations that offer shelter, dignity, and hope. Every purchase helps support those who are rebuilding, healing, or simply trying to stay warm.
We divide our giving equally among three partners:

- Hope Bags for the Homeless
